    The 5300 has additional antennas, and should theoretically have better range and signal reception. I haven't seen any actual tests/comparisions, so I don't know how much of a difference there really is.

    I'm very happy with my 5300, so I'd say if there isn't that significant of a price difference, go for the 5300.

    Agree with the above. Just google Intel 5100 problems vs Intel 5300 problems its funny. Intel 5100 was only 300Mbps and Intel 5300 was 450Mbps which I love for my network. The Intel 5100 main problem I have dealt with and read is the disconnects. The sensitivity and wifi range with the 3rd ant on Intel 5300 has been better. I love the reliability and network speeds the Intel 5300 has. Was well worth the 40.00$.
