Hello everyone! I just received my T60 and am using a wireless connection in my house and am experiencing some odd problems. We're using a Linksys WRT54G wireless router with Cox Cable. My dad is using a Linksys card in his older Sony and I'm using the Atheros card in my T60. There's another Dell desktop that is connected with an ethernet cable to the router. The problem is that whenever the home (landline) phone is picked up, the internet cuts out of all three computers connected. At least, this is the only thing I can pinpoint, because once the phone is hanged up, I can reset the router and the internet will come back. I can't figure out why, anyone have any ideas?

The phones being used are Uniden cordless phones. I can look up the specs if it will help. Thanks!

Huh... that sounds like interference plain and simple. The uniden phones are on the same 2.4gHz frequency as the wireless router- if the phone sends garbage to the router, it might force itself to shut down...

Try using the channel swap button on the phones themselves and try a few trial runs.

Thats exactly what it is, I have this happen from time to time myself.

You can fix it by what otaku said changing the phone's channel, or by changing the routers channel. It may take some fiddling around to get it just right though.

Or get a phone that operates in a different frequency band. 900MHz phones are cheap like borscht ($15,) and 5.8GHz ones are ~$50.

Obviously free is better, so if changing the channel on your router works, that's good, but if not...

Thanks guys! I changed the channel on the phone; hopefully this'll solve the problem. If not, I'll keep messing with the channels until I get it right. :)
