My HP Pavillion (dv9209nr) keeps 'losing' the wireless adapter. If I do a clean install of Vista, the little blue light comes on, the adapter works and it finds my wireless router just fine. All is well. UNTIL the computer is shut down or requires a reboot, at which time the blue light is no more and finding a wireless connection is no longer even an option. This is not an 'internet' problem, as I can still plug it in directly and connect just fine. I have tried disabling and reinabling the network adapter. Tried new drivers...tried everything. The only thing that seems to make it work is a clean install of the OS. HELP!

    Have you updated the BIOS?

Check if your notebook is defective in this list.

One of the symptoms is a dying wifi card.
