Does anyone have a solution for what I'm looking for:

I have a printer with USB port and I want to give people who walk in and out of the office access to it - I have NO network server. I'd like to hook up a router to the printer and have people connect via their wireless cards...or better yet have USB wireless adapters for people who don't have cards (on stand-by).

Any suggestions? Also, I'm installing a wireless router for the DSL: an all-in-one who be great.

The only thing i can think of is do a router setup. This is what I did....
I have a mini print server from Netgear (Netgear PS121) and it hooks up to my printer via usb. Then you use an ethernet cable to hook it up to your router.

Here is an all in one router/print server. http://www.netgear.com/products/details/WGPS606.php

Either of the above options don't require your pcs to be networked together. You'll just have to connect to the router via ethernet or wireless.

    Mike,

If you already have a wireless router, all you need to do is buy a wireless USB printer adapter. A lot of manufacturers are selling products like this, including Netgear. Just do a quick search in google for wireless usb printing and you'll find a whole bunch of products.

Well good luck with that Netgear router if you get it. Just remember to look up the reviews for it; that way you wont get caught with any surprises. But going back to your question, have you thought about using a near by desktop computer as a print server? I know you said you don't have a network server, but if you have a near by computer you can always make it function as server. It would be really simple too (that's how I have it setup in my home). Just install the printer like you normally would & enable printer sharing. From there any computer can connect to the printer through your network - granted their computer is allowed access. Better yet you can get a cheap router (I know the linksys WRT54G's allow this and I believe some netgeats can too) with third-party firmware you can turn the router into a mini-secure-hotspot.

    Just throwing ideas out there.
