My wireless connection goes 'poof' without any specific reason. All I can figure out is that it goes poof when the status changes from "Excellent","Very Good","Good","Low". It comes on after a couple of seconds, but it's not pleasant when you are IM-ing. I got a D-Link router. Any troubleshooting guides?

I have a D-Link router and I used to have problems with wireless connectivity when I had a D-Link network card. I returned it and got a Linksys and have been void of problems (sort of) ever since. I'd contact D-Link support.

Try updating the firmware before you spend money on a new one ;)

Yes, what hellmans said is correct. Update your firmware for your router by going to the www.dlink.com website.

I would also try updating your drivers for your wireless card be going to the site of your card to. (Intel card, www.intel.com will have it)
