    Hey guys,

I have a VAIO VGN-NR290E and am using Vista. The wireless lan switch on the laptop does not work and I cant use the internet. I noticed this problem after I partitioned my hard drive to have both Vista and Linux's Ubuntu 8.04. Ubuntu could pick up wireless fine, but Vista could no longer pick it up.

When I restart Vista with the switch turned to "on", it picks up wireless for a minute or so (the LED light comes on too), then it shuts off (and the LED light turns off). When I restart Vista with the switch turned to "off", it doesnt pick up anything at all.

When I choose to diagnose why Vista wont pick up internet, it says that I have to turn on the wireless switch, even though it is on. Im stumped.

Does anybody have any idea what is wrong? Thanks.
