I believe the wireless switch on the front of my Lenovo 3000 N200 laptop.... It always was a little tough to turn on and off, but now the switch slides much more easily, but it is not turning on my wireless. Is there a way to bypass the switch to turn it on and off?

    Please help!!!

Sounds like the switch may be broken. Is your laptop still under warranty?

Generally, no, there's no way to bypass the hardware switch because it's just that... a switch. It physically disconnects an electrical connection so that it turns the card off.

As Pitabred said. At this point, short of sending it in for repairs, about the only thing you could do (which you should not do if it's still under warranty, in which case you should just send it in) is to open it up and see if you can determine what's going on with the switch physically (e.g., did something come loose, or break?).

If it is still under warranty I would send it back. If it is not, and you are comfortable opening your laptop, a touch of super glue will solve the problem.

I guess I'll have to send it in, then. Thanks, though!
