    Got a few questions.

    The Current Router:
    - Belkin F5D8230-4 Wireless Pre-N Router
    Current Speeds:
    - Connected: 14800 kb/s Download / 1750 kb/s Upload
    - Wireless: 7100 kb/s Download / 1700 kb/s Upload

I was wondering if there is a much better router that can use all of the power of my internet connection. The reason why I am asking is that sometimes during some gaming scessions, and other downloading tasks, it seems that the flow of my connection isn't quite so fluid.

I heard something about a good D-Link router. Any recommendations for a extremely fast and efficient gaming or just a router that can harness all of that power??

These marks are from speakeasy, speedtest, dslreports. Done from the m1530 Intel Next Gen-N Wireless router and ethernet port

    Thanks guys

Most any thing is better than a belkin.

Since 11n is still in draft the only way to get full 300 from 11n is to use a matching chipset from the mfg of the router. Make sure you have the latest firmware, NB & router.

If your connecting @ 300mbps speed, try using CableNut to optimize your connection. 11n speeds drop off pretty fast with distance, too.

the two from d-link are the DIR-655 and the DGL-4500

both are N, the 4500 is dual band and reflects that in it's price. Both are excellent routers- but as blue mentioned, get matching cards/adapters for highest speed/distance/thruput

Linksys also has a nice gaming N router or two.

i'd suggest dual band if you can afford it. Apples Airport extreme is a wonderful dual band router and has a functional usb port for printer, hdd, etc
