I'm confused with this type of card. Is cardbus the same as Express Card? Because all I see are either PCMIA or Cardbus. Whats a good card that has the Atheros chipset and with atleast Wireless G? I will be primarily be using Linux.

No, they are not the same, ExpressCard technology has more bandwidth (max 2.5Gbps for PCI and 480Mbps for USB 2.0) than the previous PCMCIA CardBus PC card (1.06Gbps), also the ExpressCard has a direct connection to the system bus over a PCI Express x1 lane and USB 2.0, whereas CardBus utilizes an interface controller that only interfaces with PCI.

In addition, the ExpressCard standard uses lower voltages than the previous CardBus slots (1.5V and 3.3V versus 3.3V and 5.0V).

also, just checked out the specs...

your laptop does have an express card slot on the left side.......

I've had great luck w/ the Dlink DWA-643 "N" Express Card-- they work great, under $50 and are N wifi cards.
