    Your network card is fine..

Either your campus is purposely dropping you out because your not supposed to have access, or its incompatible with router they have there.

i'm guessing its incompatable ..But seriously why would it be this intel card is pretty main stream and fairly new card. Like this is a pretty high end laptop compared most kids at university. Either there routers are piece of **** which i have feeling they are or something wrong on my end. But why would it let me connect for couple seconds then disconnect me?

    here is my card:
Intel wifi link 4965AGN (is this a good card or what?)

I got my sager from the sager website : was a huge hassel but kinda worth it. Even though i had to $300 for duties which I didn't get put on things above 2k. Also i had to ship my laptop back to them that was another $100.

When you're at home, are you on battery or AC, and when at school, which are you on?

Check your power profile settings for each to see what setting the NIC is on. Also, check under the configuration menu for the NIC to see if it's set to the highest power levels or not.

Odds are, if you're on AC at home and battery at school, your NIC gets less power at school, and that may be causing it to drop signals there.
