Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge on this subject?

I just upgraded my sony vaio to pre wireless N with a 4965agn card, and installed a 3rd antenna.

I was expecting that my lan speed would increase significantly using my existing Belkin G+ mimo router, but alas im still only getting transfer speeds at around 2.5 Mb/sec.

Anyone any ideas why so slow?

    Cheers

It will just be a G connection to that router as it isn't an "N" router and even if it were you might hit some compatibility walls that will still knock it down to a G connection...

Best advice would have been to just stay G until we had a finalized N standard, but that's too late for you...

    Thanks for the reply,

I just thought the mimo functionality would become available,

Looks like i`ll have to buy a new router then.

Not sure if the finalised version would have changed things much in my case but either way it was no big deal upgrading..
