    wireless internet problem

    hey
    I am recently in a house that has wireless internet access. my fujitsu siemens laptop is said to have a card so that I could use the internet without any problem.the thing is that my laptop does not even get a signal of any of 3 wireless networks. i know that the LAN card is working.
    any suggestions?

    Agreed, sounds like the wireless may be disabled.

    Basiann,

    You said that it doesn't pickup a signal from 3 wireless networks, does that mean you have 3 wireless networks in your house? Could it be possible it's not interfering with wach other?

    1. Check to make sure the WLAN card is turned on
    2. Turn on SSID broadcasting on the router(s)
    3. Verify information entered into router (SSID, WEP keys, Key location, etc...) are set correctly on the notebook
    4. Try a different WLAN card in the system (PCMCIA or USB) and see if it works
