I have extremely slow download speeds for the internet I'm paying for and heard about wireless internet cards from a friend.

I need something that would get me about 1Mbs per second or more when I'm downloading and I'm willing to shell out 50-100 dollars a month?

I would go to the evdo forums and browse there. There is quite a bit of helpful info there. You need to know who has coverage in your area. You also need to know how close you are to there towers and if you have good line of sight for your signal. The 3g store has a month to month contract that you may be able to use. This will allow you to decide if you are happy with the service and not owe on a 2 year contract.
