I have two laptops. One with XP home and one with Vista. I also have Comcast as internet provider. The XP laptop works fine in either wired or wireless mode. The Vista laptop works fine in wired mode. In wireless mode it can only go to few selected sites like google, gmail.....No other site gets loaded or take forever to load.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Well hello, welcome to NBR its always nice to see new faces.

Your problem might be the wifi driver that you're using, try reinstalling it to see if that solves the problem.

What Wireless Router are you using?

It definitely sounds like Wireless data packets are being dropped on the Vista machine. As to why, i'm not sure but you can try (a reboot) by unplugging the Modem and the Routers power and the other connected cables; then plug them back in starting with the Modem; let it boot properly for like 2 solid minutes, then replug the Routers cables. Now reconnect to the Wireless Network and see if the issue remains.

Edit: But the XP machine works fine so the procedure I stated above may not work, but it's worth a try.

"What Wireless Router are you using?"

    Netgear CG814WG is the router

One more thing. The Vista laptop used to work fine with Belkin wireless router.

Ok...I take it you tried what I mentioned above and it didn't work?

Another thing you could try. Make sure you're connected to your Wireless network on the Vista machine and go to Start--> All Programs--> Accessories; right click on Command Prompt and select to Run as Admin; then type ipconfig /flushdns in the Command window and hit enter. Then type ipconfig /registerdns and hit enter.

    Try the websites again.

Maybe try using a different channel on the router?

That's what I was thinking, too. If the old router defaulted to a different channel than the current one, there might be interference that can be removed by changing channels.
