Yeah, my home is in a rural area, yay.. So stuck with dialup.

I want a wireless router that works both for broadband and dialup if possible. Just encase high speed ever does comes through, I won't need a new router.

I found this "Wiflyer" thing but the site sucks - not very informative enough.

    Do any exist?

Dear god help me please. I hate dragging around a 100ft phone cord..

LOL.. It's dialup man, it's slow period. Yay for 1-4 KBPS download speeds.

If I can get the same speeds through the wireless I'm happy.

thanks, gonna look into it.. but yikes..$120 for one new.

Some SMB class routers give you a com port for what ever you want to use on it (external modem). But none of them are wireless that I recall. SMC use to make one too. But when they added wireless they dropped the com port. For dial-up use the built in modem in you notebook.

I have a WiFlyer and love it. Especially the printer port. For dialup there's nothing better. If the day comes you go Hi speed you don't have to replace it because it does both.
