You need to create an Ad-Hoc connection. It's a computer-to-computer connection.

I don't remember how to configure it, but you have to create a new connection in My Network Places and cofigure it as Ad-Hoc.
Try searching in google or Windows Help.

One thing I'm sure about, is that an ad-hoc connection is what you need.

nework connections> wireless network connection> wireless networks> create and new one or add (cant remeber as Imnot sitting on my laptop). Name it what you want and when done browse for wireless and hopefully youll see the name you made and connect. BAM you just made an ad hoc LAN, but remeber ad hoc isnt fast or very efficient (11mbps or slower, and not very scalable). Good luck, hope I pointed you in the right direction. :D

Here's a decent guide to doing it. It's not hard at all.
