I am a freshman going to college and I need some information on wireless connectivity to the internet. Is there anyone who can tell me what I need to connect wirelessly.

most schools will provide you with details about the wireless network they offer (simply ask in the library or your computer lab). Most, if not all should now have standard b/g as a standard.

All you really need is a good wireless card that matches your school's wireless standard. The card might or might bot be built into your notebook depending on your notebook and its model, read your manual). The schools will provide you with any other necessary client/software/tools that you need to connect to the network.

And don't be afraid to go ask your computer lab for help, that's what we(they) are for.[|)]
