A friend of mine has a Dell Inspiron 600m and his Wireless connection keeps disconnecting. Fortunately, we know it's his computer because I don't have connecting. What happens is that he is able to connect but after a short while it suddenly disconnects. He says he doesn't have any problems on other connections. We have cable internet and a wireless router.
    Any tips ?

If your friend's computer works with other routers, then the problem is that his wireless card simply doesn't like your router. To improve performance, you can see if any firmware updates are available for your router and perform the flash upgrade.

Check to see if the energy managment is not turning it off to save power.

If the Dell laptop works on other networks I highly doubt there's any problem with power management. There are quite a few posts about Dell wireless cards not working with certain brands of routers.

Disable any packet bursting on the card and set it to run in G. Also would be nice if you stated which card is it :S
