I am thinking of getting the ATT USB 3G Wireless Adapter for my laptop.

I have spoken to some people about this and most complaints were about
a poor signal or being knocked off the air. Another issue is the size of
program downloads which cause system hangups because the adapter can
not handle the constant signal like a wired setup.

    Any ideas appreciated.

    Thanks

Well, it wont be as good as a wired connection, ever.

But, it works off cell-phone service. So, wherever there is service, you will be able to get internet.
And, yes, its very possible that it cant handle much, so you will be kicked off and have to reconnect, since its really, cell phone internet. So, thats very possible.
