    You probably need to run the program as an administrator.

    thats a stupid thing about Vista. Even if you are an administrator you have to right click and run some programs as an administrator. I don't get it either and what i also dont get is when i want to install a program and have to give myself permission to do it.

    you can also right click on that program and go to properties, and click advanced, and check "run as admin" too. that should prevent you from having to do that every single time. gets annoying, i know.

    As for getting UAC Challenges when installing progs or uninstalling, just get UACtweak, and set it to quiet mode. you will seriously like vista a lot more after youve done those two things.

    thats better but I don't like having the security alert tab there all of the time. hmmm do i set it so it does't notify me? hmmmm maybe!
