I installed windows xp professional, and wanted to connect to my wireless internet connection, but when I go into Network connections, I can't see the Wireless Network Icon that's supposed to be there.

This is very strange, I read Help and Support and it said that to connect to a wireless network, I have to go into Network Connections and Click on the Wireless Network Icon, but I don't see it.

    Help Please,
    Thanks in Advance

If you're laptop has intel wireless and from a fresh install you installed the intel wireless drivers/utility, you have to use the intel utility to connect to wireless. Unless you specify in the Intel WiFi utility to let Windows manage your wireless connections.
