    Hi,

I have a problem with a computer running Windows Server 2003. I want to change the TCP/IP settings of one of the NICs but whenever I open the NIC properties I see the message "Some of the controls on this property sheet are disabled because one or more other network property sheets are already open. To use these controls close all these property sheets and then reopen this one.". Well I'm sure there aren't any other "network property sheets" open, and this happens even after fresh restart. I'm running as an Administrator. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

I have no idea why this is but did you try doing this in Safe Mode?

Edit: Doing a google search leads to various causes/possible solutions. You might want to try digging around there. Some talk about Vmware, MCafee etc etc. Have you made any significant changes recently?

It's a work machine and I'm not the admin so I've no idea what has been done to it recently. Of course I did a research first but nothing was "working" for me so I've decided to create a thread about it.

The problem has been solved...by itself upon the 5th restart. No idea how but it's working now. :)
