This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I use wireless for Internet access only, and I do not share files, etc. across my network (I am the only 1 on it ever). I recently realized that I had a service, Windows Connect Now Registrar, running. Do I need this to just simply browse the Net wirelessly? I searched online and Microsoft just explains that it simplifies adding new computers ...
