So it's kind of like internet sharing that has been in many OS's for years now, right?

I have disabled Kaspersky and started a few Wi-Fi services especially Windows connect now then rebooted PC as well as router but still no joy.
Hoping for a response from support after sending an E-mail and see what they say.

There are a number of possibilities, here are just two of them....

    a) microsoft intends to eventually fully enable this code via MU
    b) microsoft intends to eventually delete this code via MU

either way, it might be a good bet that the functionality 'found' here won't be around for long.

No, its nothing like ICS or any ad-hoc setup.

To duplicate this functionality on many computers it would take two wifi cards: one to serve as a full AP and another to connect.

BTW only some linux drivers will do the same, no macs.
