I have an Alienware M17X and out of the blue yesterday it just stopped connecting to the internet. It shows the connection is available but will not give any connection.

    Things that have been tried:
    -Installed updated wireless driver
    -Hard wiring straight to computer
    -Disabling and re-enabling wireless card
    -Delete and re-install the network

I am currently deployed so I am not using the best internet. Before this happening it has not been uncommon for me to lose internet like this for about 3-5 minutes at a time but was never sure if it was because of the internet or my computer.

    Any suggestions would be great.

Have you tried using other computers with this network?
    Maybe your router is broken.

I had the exact same problem with my m17x r3. I have the Dell Wireless WLAN-1501. What fixed it for me was completely uninstalling the driver from device manager then installing the new driver. Somehow just updating didn't work for me.

Are you saying you have tried using a straight CAT5/6 cable connecting directly from your notebook to the router and it still not working and turn off wifi and it still won't connect? If so, you most likely have a corrupt IP stack.
you can either run " netsh winsock reset" in admin mode of command prompt to reset winsock or run" netsh int ip reset" to reset ip stack.
