I'm hoping someone here knows something about these things. I bought a used one for its dialup wireless capability and no matter what I do it can not find a dial tone. I have monkeyed with every setting I can find to no avail, it just seems it cant open the port. It has a speaker and when it goes to dial all that comes out is white noise, and when I listen to the phone line on speaker phone there is no sound of it connecting to the line at all. Previous owner says it worked fine for them. I clicked the "ignore dial tone" option and then I can hear it dial, but it still isn't dialing on the line. The wireless broadcast works fine, and I can communicate with it. I've looked around for firmware upgrades and cant find any online, and the company is belly up. I've rebooted and reset and changed phone lines, dont know what else to do...methinks it is busted.

No I believe its just a regular old dialup modem. I've done everything now, including reinstalling the firmware, but it cant find the line.
