Hi all new to the forum, I'm in need of some help please.

I have this Toshiba laptop from my grandad and the wifi has stopped working... here's whats happened.

Everything was fine he tripped on it one day and the wifi has just stopped working... Randomly I haven't seen the come on since then ( on the bottom face plate.

The wifi however does work if I plug in a adapter.

I checked the device manager and there was a issue with one of the drivers I tried checking for a solution and re-installing the driver but everything wouldn't work I had the error code 31 on it... I uninstalled it thinking I'd be able to re-install it but the computer just will not recognise it.

Anyone shed any light on this please?

    Thanks all.

Open the laptop and make sure that the Wi-Fi card is properly seated in its slot first (and that both antennas are connected).

I would just open it up to see if there has been any damage to the card or mPCIe slot. I had this problem with my girlfriend's laptop, and it turned out that the slot had a piece broken off.
