    Wifi How To From my LapTop

    Ok Folks Pardon my ignorance
    So I just got my v2000z with a wireless card . Do I just got to my local airport or starbucks turn my Laptop on and Surf ? or I must buy or activate something ?

    Thats all you need to do. Just go to the spot there is wireless, and turn your wireless card on.

    occassionally those spots have a pay to browse type of service. Might have to check depending on the place you go.

    Starbucks, from my experience, have pay services. However, in my area (Los Angeles) there are a LOT of free wifi coffee houses, and other locations. There's a major mall in our area (Century City) which has free wifi throughout the entire mall! Most hotels have free wifi for guests, but some charge a nominal (usually, about $10) fee.

    Check around in your area, and you should be able to find several free locations. They are often coffee houses, which want to encourage people to sit down, and stick around (and drink more and more coffee!)

    Unless you're in a very rural area, you shouldn't need to pay for wifi.
