    Hi guy's,

At work we have a couple of lappys connecting to an Linksys WRT54G. Not all of them are connected at once mostly 3 at a time.
The problem is that on some of the lappys I get limitted or no conetivity and other connect just fine.

The lappys cards are WiFi B and G compatible.
I made sure to update all firmwares of the lappys and the router. Some of the lappys have Broadcom cards and others Realtek. The ones with the Realtek are the ones that have the most problems connecting, but there is also a few Broadcom's also.

The WiFi signal is open not encrypted.

Can someone please help me with this problem? :(

    Thanks for any input.

i had the same problem as you but at home.and sometimes i can go for weeks with no trouble then the wifes laptop with the same router as you but i now use a belkin card which is less problematic as the linksys card.
with my laptop i use the broadcom internal wifi card with its own software and have disabled the windows zero config in services.and have had no trouble since(touch wood).
make sure all the ad-hoc connections are off aswell as this can be a pain in the rear end.
i found at first just, restart windows zero config helped, then i just used the software that came with the cards and switch off zero config.
hope that helps in some way :)

Also please update the wireless adapter with latest driver, it might solve your problem...

To confirm you have connected to wireless network, issue ipconfig /all in command prompt to make sure correct IP, netmask, gateway and DNS info are assigned on computer, then try to ping gateway router, you should be able to ping it...

I have 3 wireless card on this laptop. Sometimes I get this problem as well and I need to restart the laptop or the router and it's fine again. Usually occurs on this particular wireless card.

Also check configuration to see if you operating in mixed mode B/G if you're try just using G. And Try uninstalling the new drivers with something like CCleaner and then reinstall, sometime installing new drivers over old one can cause problems.
