Guys i've got Intel Wireless AC 7260 along with Netgear 6300 ac and when I bought this router I had proper network speeds like 700-800 Mbps
But now it is just poor 500-550
I tried to mod it by flashing dd-wrt and since then it wen't probably down..
but i reverted router back to stock orig. firmware but speeds persists at crappy 525 speed
    Never reach 800 like b4 ..
Any idea what could happen ?
BTW I purchased Killer 1420 wifi card thinking it is card but no chance.. it same !

So it is DEFO crappy router !!

If anybody has idea what it could be or how to fix this let me know
    thnx

    Which driver version?

A few versions were not very good but the newest 17.13 and 17.14 are working very good on my MSI notebbook and a desktop with the mini pcie AC-7260HMW.

I used an R6300 before I upgraded to an R7000 a year ago and it worked well except for devices connected to the USB ports.

Have you tried resetting the router by pressing the reset button on the back and unplugging the power for about 5 minutes to clear it.

The router should be set to WPA2 AES and in the QoS settings WMM should be enabled on both bands.

Channels 153 and 161 work well for me.

    Check that U-APSD is Disabled.

On the Wireless cards Advanced Settings try turning off U-APSD,setting roaming to lowest, transmit to highest and Wireless Mode to A,B,G

In the wireless card power management uncheck the box "turn off to save power".

I also have my notebook power management set to high performance in the Control Panel

In my notebook bios I have Speed Stepping disabled.

From 25' and going through 2 sheet rock walls my AC-7260HMW theoretical link speed is mostly at 780Mbps but does drop to 702Mbps and spike to 866.7Mbps.

Have you test if there is real difference, 500 vs 700 mean nothing if you can't/don't utilize it.

Link rate is a pretty meh indicator anyways~

I found the problem which is in my laptop ..
I've tried to remove WiFi card and corrected nas and looks like I might have faulty one antenna cable as speeds all sudden boosted to default value ..
(of course it is balancing 650-702-860Mbps
