    Hi Experts,

I have a Dell laptop that I use at my Work Location as well as at my home.

The problem is, the laptop connects to the Wi Fi available at my work location without any troubles. But when I come back home and try to connect to Wi Fi available at my home location, it does not get connected. If I connect the direct cable from my modem, then it gets connected but it does not connect wirelessly through Wi Fi router. Sometimes it does not even detect my WiFi network at my home while showing other networks in Available Networks link.

The Ethernet card installed on my laptop is : DW1520 Wireless-N WLAN Half-Mini Card

Please suggest the trouble shooting steps and a solution for this because I am facing this issue since 1 month now and I am frustrated as I have to use Modem Cable everytime I want to use the interneat at home.

    Thanks in advance,

    Gunjan.

    Hello Gunjan,

My name is Sreenath and I work for the Social Media and Community Team at Dell. Since you are able to connect to the wireless from your office and not at home, it might have to do with the router. Try turning off the computer, modem and router. If you have any other computers using the router for the internet, shut them down as well. Leave them off for about 5 minutes, turn the modem, router and the computer on and check if you are able to connect wirelessly to the router.

    Thanks & Regards
