Ok, so I'm a complete novice with laptops - got mine yesterday, I have a 5315 model.

Downstairs in my house, it was fine, picked up my Netgear router straightaway and internet connected without a problem.

When I took it upstairs to bed, it wouldn't allow me on the internet - it was ok accessing pages that I'd already accessed that evening, but if I tried to access any other pages, it told me that I wasn't connected to the internet.

I checked connectivity, and it said I had an excellent signal to my router.

    I'm confused

Can someone advise me please? Sorry if I sound a bit stupid.

You have probably already checked this, but is your browser working in Offline mode?

You can check this by looing under the File tab in the toolbar.
If Work Offline is ticked, just untick it and it should work again.

I did check that, and I wasn't working offline, but thanks for the suggestion :)
