For those people who have this combination, were you able to connect to the router with Wireless N speeds using your M860TU laptop without any problems?

If so, what were your settings?

Because I can only connect with Wireless G speeds (54 Mbps), and I'm sure that the N features of my adapter are turned on and the router is set to mixed mode and auto settings.

    Please help.

    Thanks.

hi m8, the only way u can get N speeds is by going to your adapter settings and telling it to look at the intel profile for its configuration then with the admintools for the card that you can download from intel you should be able to set the card up to get 270mbps

hi. thanks for the reply. can you break those instructions down into step-by-step procedures?

and why do you have to do that first before you can N speeds? is it because of the router? or with the module?

you also have the same setup?

    http://www.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv3/dd-wrt/hardware.html

put the name of the router in.

open the linksys firmware and choose update and select the mini bin you download. then repeat with std version. make sure to do a reset between flashes

you MUST FLASH THE MINI GENERIC FIRST!!!!!!!

then flash the generic std version. then power cycle the router.
