    Hi,

I've been using QWest DSL for 6 months, and I'm thinking of changing to internet connection like that offered by Cingular or Sprint (with a PC Card).

Cingular has a plan of 3.6Mbps with $49 per month, but anyone know a better deal?

    Thank you

It depends on what speed you need. I've heard from everyone that I've talked to that Sprint has the fastest network anywhere. But if connectivity is most important to you... Try Cingular.

Actually the new 3.6Mbps from Cingular is the new king of speed, but the problem is it is not widespread yet. Available only in certain cities. Sprint's is a little bit slower than that, but a little bit more widespread, although not as broad as regular cellphone network either, so it's pointless.

Right now I'm on Cingular WWAN unlimited with previous version (UMTS, probably around 3.0Mbps), but most of the time I'm not in coverage, so I only get EGDE, which is around 237kbps, but feels much slower than that. To sum it up, it feels like I'm on dial-ups most of the time. If I want to get the max. advertised, I have to be near the city, which I'm not most of the time.

As for a better deal, I think for Mobile Broadband, that's pretty much it. They are pretty rare, and you don't have much option right now.
