    Moving into an apartment
Would like to be able to host games on games like SC1

    http://en.avm.de/products/fritzbox/

Hosting games in starcraft broodwar is a pain- Alot of people I know with routers have had issues including myself. Sometimes got it to work, sometimes not. The biggest problem I had when I switched to verizon internet was when entering admin and password while portforwarding, the textboxes for those two entries would triple my letters

    Someone recommended fritzbox to me:
because it has a configurable router

The recommender is German and it would be good because he can help me navigate hosting game in SC BW 1

    http://en.avm.de/products/fritzbox/

But I'm worried about these things

    1. Europe vs USA- https://www.ricksteves.com/travel-tips/phones-tech/electric-adapters-converters
Are there differences I have to be aware of?

    2. What do I look for in a router if I want a bunch of fast ethernet jacks + fast wifi?

    3. Which version do I get? http://en.avm.de/products/fritzbox/

You'd need an American PSU for Fritzbox, other than that there should be no difference (assuming you are not on ADSL connection).

Honestly I don't see a reason to go for this particular brand. Not that there's anything wrong with those - as a matter of fact you can buy nice accessories for those routers (similar to WeMo ones) - but still, all you need is a good router. You don't even have any specific requirements - there are quite a lot of routers that would do fine, starting worth those in the sticky.

    1. How do I know which PSU to get? http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias=aps&field-keywords=power+supply+unit

    2. How do I tell on amazon or in the store if a PSU is American ?

    3. Why do I need a PSU? Aren't there outlets on the wall?

    4. What is a sticky? The last word in your post

    5. What do you really need in a router to host games in starcraft broodwar?

    6. Why do some people say get a configurable router?

    7. What are example other routers that could host SC BW? When I switched to verizon and their router and had the problem above, I had no idea that would ruin starcraft game hosting.

You need to go to Router settings and find out whether you are on ADSL mode.

The router model you are after is made for mainland Europe( instructions are in German), the power plug is different from American plugs, so you may have to get an adapter. as Downloads suggested, try to get locally available router.
