I am in the process of buying a new laptop in order to have wireless internet in a 3-level townhouse. My options are:

    802.11b/g WLAN [included]
802.11a/b/g WLAN and Bluetooth [add $24.00]
    802.11 pre-n WLAN and Bluetooth [add $52.00]

Is the b/g card good enough for my needs?

What / Who is the MFG of the cards. By choice b/g if not Raylink, then none.

Remember 11n is still in beta, The pre 11n spec v2.0 has been ratified. If you get a 11n make sure it will meet this spec. If so the odds are good it will meet the final spec, but no guarantee.
