I have no idea about wi-fi, so i need some help, thanks.
----------------------
The 2 laptop's I'm considering buying have these Wi-fi cards...
IntelĀ® PRO/Wireless 4965AGN
and
IntelĀ® Pro/Wireless 3945 802.11a/b/g
Which one is the best? and are their better ones around?
Also, can you update them in the near future on a notebook?
-
Their both as good as the other, except one has wireless-n capabilities, and the other doesn't.
And yes, most likely you can replace them, as their are plugged into the mini pci-e slot in your notebook. -
Thanks allot

Neither. Go Atheros. Better drivers and they have the fastest G (their 108Mbps Super G, which is only compatible with Atheros clients) and N (just best chips for that). Better supported on Linux, too, if that matters. I say this as a 3945ABG user, too - I made the wrong choice. Not that it's really a big deal.

I got rid off Intel Pro Wireless 2200bg from my nc6000 and got Atheros SuperAG...it's way better than Intel product line. Yeah it's a bit harder to find out Atheros product now, but it really great wireless card.
Which is the best ?
