Well I think I finally convinced my dad to switch ISPs. Now we are trying to decide if we should switch to MSN (offered through qwest) or Comcast. Any opinions on either of the two?

Comcast. Pretty much everyone around here has it. Except me. I got SBC Yahoo DSL which is only $20 a month.

I've had Comcast for nearly a year, and never had any major problems.

Had a few dropped connections for a few minutes during storms, but that's to be expected.

I recommend you go with Comcast.

I had comcast for years, till they sold out to TimeWarner in my area. Then I took the oppertunity to switch to Verizon FIOS (fiber optic) , 5/2mbps .

Comcast was good but had a slow uplink speed (384kbps), have 2 mbps now. During peak load my service would slow down. Gamers had reported slow ping times in my area. But you are located closer to their hub. During the transition period I had connections problems but that is expected when ISP are changing backbone connections.
