    Dell 1500 pre-N
    Intel 3945 a/b/g

I purchased my XPS m1210 with the pre n installed and the 3945 as an option.

I have a belkin pre n router set up as an access point and am considering changing to something else:

    Linksys WRT300N
    Blekin - N1
    Netgear WNR834B

So far with the pre N card installed the Linksys is giving me the best range.

Any thoughts on the best card?

If you own a pre-N/draft-N router at home (as you seem to do, the N1) then the pre-n wi-fi card was a good choice.

The Intel cards have some of the best connections. I've been through lots of cards from Atheros to Broadcom and Intels just have the most features esp if you use their really nice utility. YOu'll get a lot less compatibility errors too. I would def hold off till final N.

I have just installed a D-Link DIR 655 and have two Dell 1210 running on it. Though the chipsets arent the same between the router and my Dells it is running very well except tht one computer seems to have a connection that is half as fast.
