After doing a bit of research, I found those options:

    AR5B22 Ar9462
    bcm943224hmb
    bcm943228hmb

    Question 1:
Any experience with any of them ?

    Question 2:
When searching for "AR5B22" on ebay, I find results like:
"Acer Aspire V5-571 Wireless Wifi Card AR5B22"
    Example: AR5B22 | eBay
Will this work with a lenovo that has the bios whitelist removed ?

Any help would be appreciated, cause the info found online for those cards are pretty scarce.

I put more trust to 2x2 Broadcom cards. I've used 3 laptops with them (Broadcom 802.11g and a 2x2 Broadcom 802.11n) and they perform well and is perfectly stable. I don't highly recommend Intel these days due to them unable to provide stable drivers (especially at 2.4 Ghz band) for most of their products

With whitelist removed, you can use any WiFi cards however Bluetooth may not be recognized if the laptop's "mini PCIE doesn't support USB interface" (I don't know the exact term for this)

Yah, broadcom seem to have the least negative feedback when googling it, compared to intel and atheros 2x2 N cards

I am leaning more towards bcm943228hmb.
I didn't find many bad reviews for it on google, unlike the atheros one, and I am assuming "no news is good news" hopefully.

the atheros (AR5B22 Ar9462) is the same chip as the killer-n 1202, and that seems to have compatibility issues with some routers, and some occasional ping drops on some routers.
Like it can't connect to an iphone5 hotspot.

I hope someone can give me any info, positive or negative or neutral on that specific broadcom chip: bcm943228hmb ,
(I *think* it is sometime known as BCM43228 ?)

Is there any driver version that fixes compatibility issues for the atheros AR5B22 Ar9462 ?

Note that it is the same chip in killer-n 1202, and i guess uses the atheros drivers.

Just go to Intel forums and read the Intel 6235 megathread and you'll find someone swapped with the bcm943228hmb and is now a happy camper.

BCM43228 refers to the chipset. I believe Broadcom includes the other digits to refer to the one with the Bluetooth or the one without the Bluetooth and/or a half mini PCIE or NGFF M.2 or even a proprietary ones like on the MacBooks.

For example, there are different Broadcom cards that have this chipset (BCM43228) in different form factor

mini-pcie half height with Bluetooth: BCM943228HMB
mini-pcie half height without Bluetooth: BCM943228HM4L

If you look, you can see BCM43228 (disregard the 9 as this may indicate that it's in mini pcie form and hmb may stand for half mini Bluetooth.) Well I don't know how Broadcom exactly names their products but you get my point.

I myself have a Broadcom card masquerading as Dell Wireless (OEM Branded Broadcom BCM94311MCG) and it's been problem free ever since.
