What do you mean? You have to be more specific.

But from the looks of it right now, your card needs to restart in order for it to work. Although when you turn on your computer once, it should work right then since you basically had your computer off, and now on.

    yeah sorry.

basicly. i start my laptop up for the day and everything looks fine. it sais im connected to the internet. when i try to do anything however such as look at a website it sais page cannot be found. if i then go and restart my computer however, everything works fine. this problem has only started happening in the last couple of days. it was fine before this.
my laptop is a dell 9300 and my wireless box is wanadoo's livebox thing.

i have also been having some disconnection problems the past few days and yesterday, it went off line for 15 minutes or so for no real reason that i could figure out. my desktop was fine during this period.

    thanks
    jamie

just as i clicked submitt my connection died again. i tried restarting my laptop and i wierd thing happened. it got to the background with nothing on it, no icons or start bar, and stayed there for 5 minutes, then everything apperad. it did this 3 times.
when i try to reconnect it keeps getting stuck on aqquiring network acess. the signal is there good and strong. if i click repair it takes a whil and sais this. " windows cannot repair the problem because the following cannot be completed: reniewing your ip address"

im on my desktop now which is fine. what is going on??

    thanks

    Maybe try:

    1) Go to start
    2) All programs
    3) Accessories
    4) Command Prompt

Type in: ipconfig /release and hit enter
Type in: ipconfig /renew and hit enter.

    That might work...

Are you using Internet Explorer, or Firefox?

using firefow but i have both still on.

i looked over a few other threads and already tried that command. it said that " no operation can be performed on a wireless network while it has its media disconnected"

i dont get this. it was PERFECT all last week.

right im back on. after phoning dell and then telling me it was not the wireless card problem but a problem with my network key. i then decided to enter the key in a different way, using caps for the letters. and yes, it worked!!!

    I HATE COMPUTERS

ill see if the other problem is sorted.
