...what do you mean it isn't compatible? Perhaps the setup software that comes with the router isn't compatible...but you should be able to access the router firmware from any web browser in any operation system...at least to my knowledge.

Have you tried logging in to your router from a web-browser?

A guy here about 8 posts down has his connected to his machine running Vista x64:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductReview.aspx?Item=N82E16833314008

(of course he doesn't know what he's talking about with Linksys, I've had 3 linksys routers running my x64 laptop)

I'm still doubting whether router hardware is limited by Operating System

When you go to the Belkin Website and look up your model, the only place they mention OS requirements is under "Easy Install Wizard System Requirements"...which leads me to believe if you can set it up on your own, it shouldn't be a problem at all.

    DOUBLE EDIT:

Netgear has excellent routers with extended coverage range using MIMO.

Router's antenna radiation patters is modified by the environment, is supposed to be omnidirectional, a circle, but as the signal encounter different mix of walls (metal) or other room objects the antenna patter changes.

Make sure that you have your adapter to maximum transmit power, same in your router.

...just so that I can at least be a cheerleader on this one...I would listen to everything Wirelessman says...his name almost does him justice.

Perhaps you should consider WirelessMachoMan, WirelessHero, or WirelessDiety?

Hahahahahahahahahaha, man I'm reaping my ribs out of my chest, hahahaha. I liked wirelesmachoman, may be I will change my title.

You deserve a rep for the above technical help and for the above good sense of humor. However, since the mods have changed the rules I can't timely rep those who deserve it so I'll do it as soon as I'm allowed to, like in a two years from now :D

Hehe, what can I say, sometimes you have it...and sometimes you have it!

What new rules do you speak of?

The mods changed the way to rep, they made it harder to rep people, you can rep only 3 times within 24h, and you have to rep 10 other different members before your can rep someone who deserve it but you have repped already. In other words, let's say I rep you today, then tomorrow you do an excellent technical contribution, then I have to write your name in my mess, and wait until I rep another 10 people before I can rep you. So, if I rep 10 people in two weeks, then I have to find your name in my mess so I can rep you for something clever you did two weeks ago. I think in two weeks I will forget what you said, and by then my mess will be in the trash as well.

You can see the new rules at the suggestion/recommendation forum.

Anyway, let's refrain from talking about rep here as it is a sensitive topic and we don't want to penalize the OP, PM me if you have more questions.

I think Netgear is really an excellent router for 32/64 bits computer based.
