So, I know pretty close to nothing about wireless anything, other than I have a new laptop and would like to be able to set up a wireless network in my home. After a lot of reading (here and other places) it sounds like a Buffalo wireless router is the way to go. So, what's the difference among these three (other than one is $50 and the other two are $70)?

1. Converts a wireless signal to Ethernet so you would plug your device into it via Cat5e/6 and it obtains/maintains the wirless connection and passes it to the devices connected. Does NOT pass out wireless connection.
2 & 3 are both Routers for connecting a Internet Connection to it and passing the connection to PCs via Wireless or Wired. It will provide connectivity to your wireless clients (whether Internet or Internal network based)
They are both the same model but 2 is a the g54s that has a built in amplifier for stronger wireless signal (I am assuming to matching WNIC). Also with the matching WNIC you can obtain 125mb instead of 54 - -
If you are going to use your notebook's internal wireless card, get the 3rd one.
What's the difference here?
