I vote neither, but if you must decide between the two go for the 2915.

Why neither? The 2915 is a pretty strong card for Intel at least

Because after I got screwed with my 2200 I am still bitter towards Intel. I guess I could buy an external card but that is beside the point of getting an internal card. Oh Well, S#!t happens.

So, does that mean the 2915 card is going to be horrible as well?

I've been on a 2915ABG for 5 months now . . never had an issue. I use the generic Windows wireless software, simple yet works very well.

I have had Broadcom cards before - those were nice as well. A bit easier to find information on the Intel cards, as well as drivers.

tim, I can understand why you are bitter towards Intel for the 2200 fiasco. ;)

Timu24 have you NOT read anything on the forums about the Atheros group buy????

If you're thinking about an external card, DON'T. Go to the buy/sell section on this site and check out the LOoooooooooooooooooooooong thread on the Firebretha Atheros group buy thingy. Awesome card.

I say if you're in an area with little wireless traffic the Intel 2915 should be fine, but if you're going to be in areas with a lot of wireless traffic, go for the atheros.

The 2915 is leaps and bounds better than the 2200, as I have used both, but the Atheros just takes the cake guys. Takes it and eats it, and then barfs it up and eats it again. Ewww.

    Cheers,
    Mike :D
