    1. What wireless router are you using with your Bigfoot Killer wireless card.
    2. Which card do you have?
    3. What is your Mbps?

    Apple Airport Extreme base station.

1102 but using generic Atheros drivers because Bigfoot's software is resource intensive, buggy, and crash prone.

Solid 270-300 Mbps using the router's 5 GHz band.

Either one. I would like just like to know what results people are getting with which routers.

1103 is capable of 450mbps while 1102 of 300mbps but that's just the speed you're connected to- not really related to throughput.
So the fact that two people are connected @300mbps does not mean the throughput will be the same or even similar.

As an example- Intel 5300 will connect to Netgear WNR3500L and Netgear WNDR3700 @ 300mbps so at first glance it looks like it's the same thing but in reality throughput for WNR3500L will be 56mbps while for WNDR3700 it will be 92mbps (I've used actual smallnetbuilder data for 2.4GHz 40MHz, location A).

You'd need to ask people to perform specific tests to get any closer to the true throughput (even though that it's not a controlled environment and driver/firmware version affect results as well)

Yeah but that will also give you an answer "Some router @300mbps" since almost all routers are capable of that.

I've looked into this quite a bit, as I will soon be getting a laptop with an 1103.

General consensus on the best to use with it is the Asus Black Diamond if sheer speed is what you want (a lot of reports of it being buggy though).

The overall best right now seems to be the Linksys E4200 if you want/need a lot of customisation/configuration and the new (Gen5) Airport Extreme if you want something that "just works" and doesn't need rebooting often (if at all).

I have DIR 825 , DIR 615 Linksys WRT54g2 but I can't figure which is best router for 1103's connection too , wonder if anyone have experienced?

Also , my room mate been downloading via torrent , basically I can't play any games now days. I played League of Legend with 100msn then pop up to 999ms and up to 6000ms++ and I give up for gaming for a week , but they still non-stop torrent-ing.

I've tried to block their mac , but they will call someone to fix it...this is frustrating.

I would suggest either the Asus RT-N56U or the Linksys e4200. I personally went with the N56U after reading several reviews on smallnetbuilder. I love it and I get great signal strength all throughout my house and backyard. If needed more coverage I would bridge with another N56U.

    Good luck choosing!

I got the Linksys E3000 refurbished for $65 on newegg, with up to 300Mbps speeds. The reason I went with this and not the E4200 is because I hardly ever need to transfer files on my network, and if I do, the computers are usually hardwired to my router. There's really not much difference from the 1102 and 1103, as far as Internet speed...file transfer is where the difference is. I think some people get confused by that and/or end up buying the more expensive 450Mbps routers because they think it will improve Internet speeds.

Look into QOS settings, that will slow them down.
