I have cable Comcast internet connection at home using RCA cable modem. Then I purchased a D-link wireless router, and connect all those stuff as instructed (Cable Modem - Wireless Router - PC), but the internet just does not work. The PC cannot connect to the internet, and I cannot detect any wifi signal. Then I tried to connect the modem directly to the PC and nothing good happened.
Is it possible that one or more of these parts have broken down, or I need help from Comcast?

It's possible that your hardware just isn't set up right... I remember, in the distant past, having to run some comcast software to set up the modem with the account, and then I had to do something with other software to set up the router with the modem.

Currently I still can connect to the internet using the cable modem with USB connection to the PC, and now I want to make it wireless. Do I have to contact Comcast to add a wireless module?

Contact Comcast and ask for assistance.
