    Hi:

I'm looking for a mini PCI wireless card for my Satellite 1135-S1553. Can anyone recommend one that's compatible? Seems all the after market wireless mini PCI cards for Toshiba say nothing about my model. However, I know this model can accept a card as it does have an available slot above the memory slots. I'm currently using both a BUS card and USB add on but would rather have the mini PCI instead. Thanks.

I believe all mini-pci cards are the same. As long as you have a free mini-pci slot, you should be able to accept any card on the market.

Looking at the various MiniPCI form factors in existence, I'm thinking that's not quite true. I'm pretty sure that all wireless cards are either of the IIIa or IIIb form factor, and that most/all current ones are IIIb.

I agree that all wireless cards which fit in that slot will probably work with your laptop. Surely the slot is designed for a wireless card, especially if there is a wire in there for connecting to an internal antenna.
