I'm getting confused with all the different slots available for notebooks. PCMIA, PCIe.... Would like to know what an Asus Z96j has, and maybe a quick overview of the differences.

Also where can you buy an Atheros wireless card, and which ones fits a Z96j?

    Thank you

The Z96j is one of the models that is exclusively including a ExpressCard/54 card slot, most everything you would typically use one of the older slots for is included standard. The main benifit of this slot over say a PCMCIA slot that I am aware of is cost, much cheaper to use them thus they can pass on lower costs to us.

There is a good guide to the express card slot already on NBR that may interest you here
