    What is the best solution for extending a satellite connection?

    Here's a complicated one...

    I live in France and my house is made of stone. The walls are extremely thick, typically in excess of 1 foot. This makes it very difficult for WiFi to pass through.

    To make things worse, I live in what is referred to as a white zone which basically means that ADSL is limited to 2 MB/s which is useless for my purposes so I have a satellite connection giving a 50 MB/s connection. The latter has a black box which I assume is the router and that connects to a white box which I guess is the modem. This works quite well but only in one room being my office.

    The house is quite large and most rooms need an internet connection. I installed a pair of Netgear XAVBS401 500 MB/s CPL units which work well but that only gives internet access in one other room. I asked the seller (on Amazon) if I could add more but he could not be bothered to reply. Then I saw someone else with stone walls like mine talking about an ASUS RT-AC66U router which he claims has solved the problem. Apparently he now has WiFi all over the home. Of course he probably is not on a satellite connection and has at least a 20 MB/s ADSL connection.

    My problem is I know nothing about any of this stuff so the more I read the more I get confused. Can anyone suggest the best way to get a connection all over the house, even if it is via CPL please?

    I should point out that my main goal is to get my 2 multimedia boxes (WD TV Live and Medi8er 600X3D) to network so that sharing is possible.

    There is no problem with the Netgear extenders. The trouble is that like the Powerline versions, they come in pairs. One attaches to the modem and the other goes to where you want to provide a second connection. But what do you do if you need 5 or 6 connections as in my case? As far as I can see they do not sell slaves and I asked the seller if it was possible to add more but he won't answer.

    Update;
    I contacted Netgear support directly and they inform me I can use up to 8 Powerlines. Those I consider to be masters can also be used as slaves.

    So the next question is whether or not this is the best way to go? Both multimedia readers can work via LAN so maybe WiFi is not really necessary.
