What is the difference between a

    Wireless Access Point
    Wireless Bridge
    Wireless Router
    Wireless Repeater
    Wireless Extender????

From my understanding, repeater and extenders are the same and is used for increasing coverage. How about Acess Point/Bridge?

Have you Googled for any of those terms? I'm sure there's a wiki on each one of them.

If I were to get a Wireless Access Point along with my router will that help extend coverage?

    Your link is dead.

A Wireless bridge typically connects two wired networks together via a wireless link.

A Wireless Access Point connects two wireless networks together via a wireless link.

A wireless repeater is the same as an extender.

While a repeater may work for your situation, typically an Access Point provides more functionality. Any from the major brands will usually do just fine. Care to expand on your situation?

    your link does not work

rest of it--taking into account that marketers often call their products whatever the heck they please.

Wireless Router--routes traffic from one network (usually local network) to another (usually internet)

Wireless Access Point--usually used if you do not have a wireless router, but instead have a wired router and want to add wireless capability to your network. Sometimes, people will use it to extend a wireless network by running a cat5 cable from a wireless router lan port to an area not reached by the router.

Wireless Bridge--(I like surfasb's description better--but it should be noted you are not connecting two wireless networks, but connecting two segments of the same network-I know he knows, but the reader may not)

Wireless Repeater--used for extending a wireless network beyond the reach of a single transmitter. Can also be used to bridge two network segments, but is more often thought of as a.....

Wireless Extender--used for extending a wireless network beyond the reach of a single transmitter. Unlike a bridge or repeater, sometimes these are just high-powered transmitters or access points.

I have a D-Link DIR-825 for wireless internet only. People on the upper floors with B wireless have really weak signal. Can I add a DAP-1522 to increase coverage of the mixed abgn on the upper floors as well?

Would you guys suggest a DAP-1522 or a repeater?

Also if I get a DAP-1522 with my DIR-825 will the QoS still work with the people connecting to the DAP-1522?
